From San Francisco: Take Interstate 80 East. Exit at UC Davis. Turn left at stop sign onto Old Davis Road. Pass South Gate Information Kiosk (or stop for further information if desired). Continue toward the parking structure. Turn left at the light directly after the parking structure. Drive past the Mondavi Performing Arts Center and turn right onto Old Davis Road at the stop sign, directly after the Walter A. Buehler Alumni & Visitor Center. Take Old Davis Road to the next stop sign. Park in Visitor Parking in Lot 5. Purchase a $6.00 all day parking permit on weekdays from the bright yellow permit dispenser machines. Permit dispensers will accept quarters, one-dollar bills, Visa or MasterCard. Parking on Sundays is free, except during special events. After parking, continue down A Street towards downtown Davis. Cross the bridge and turn left onto Hutchison Drive. Walk down Hutchison past a small road (Cushing Way) and keep going. Continue past the eggheads and the colorful building and go into the tan building straight ahead through the double doors, this will be the Art Building. The Nelson Gallery is on the first floor, room 124.

From Downtown Davis: Driving — Get to the intersection of 1st and A Street. Continue on A Street towards Old Davis Road. Park in Visitor Parking in Lot 5, which is the lot just over the bridge.
